Responsibilities

• Update network diagrams and documentation for design and planning of network communication systems
• Determine impact of network requirements on existing architecture, work processes and systems
• Participate in technical design reviews of applicable solutions
• Optimise Network Utilisation & Performance
• Consolidate network data based on key parameters or metrics
• Assist in the development of capacity planning models, load-balance and/or redundancy solutions
• Administer tuning of firewall rules for optimisation
• Review facility bandwidth requirements and system inter-dependencies
• Document network security activities in accordance with organisational policies
• Monitor network activity and log technical issues
• Maintain awareness of emerging software and/or hardware solutions
• Conduct regular maintenance, patches and upgrades to the network
• Prepare technical specifications and documents to procure network equipment
• Perform routine backups and administer disaster recovery protocols
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans
• Monitor indicators of compromise or breach in network security
• Track and document network security incidents
• Configure network security across software and/or hardware components
• Coordinate and configure network access and controls
• Classify and prioritise network incidents for troubleshooting
• Document network incidents and resolution methods
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network issues

Requirements

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience
• CCIE preferred, min CCNP Certified
• Able to handle configuration, troubleshooting, capacity planning
• Familiar with Automation Tools: Python, ansible (automation scripting)
• Network Infrastructure & Hardware: 5+ years experience managing large enterprise network with a strong focus on Palo Alto, Cisco, and CheckPoint Technology. - Can look for very strong firewall profiles!
• Network Devices: In-depth knowledge and proficiency with firewalls and proxy while switches, load balancers, routers, and ISE are good to have - needs to do hands on technical support too!
• Network Design & Troubleshooting: Expertise in designing, monitoring, and network & incident management (LAN, WAN, VPN).
• Must be comfortable with night activities/ weekends / shift work when required

Shortlisted candidate will be offered a 1 Year agency contract employment.
