Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

Network Engineer

with experience in implementing and managing

network devices

, firewalls, and security appliances. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network infrastructure, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation:

Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure using

Cisco

or

HPE networking solutions

. Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.

Firewall Configuration and Security:

+ Configure and manage enterprise firewalls (e.g.,

Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point

).
+ Implement network security protocols, VPNs, and access controls.

Network Optimization:

+ Perform network upgrades, patching, and optimization to ensure minimal downtime.

Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:

+ Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
+ Provide support and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking problems.

Documentation and Reporting:

+ Maintain up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Collaboration:

+ Work closely with the IT team, vendors, and external service providers to implement and maintain robust solutions.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications:

+ Cisco or HPE Aruba or equivalent certifications (preferred).
+ Firewall-related certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA, etc.) are a plus.

Technical Skills:

+ Strong hands-on experience with

Cisco and/or HPE network devices

.
+ Expertise in configuring and managing

firewalls, VPNs, and Layer 2/3 switches

.
+ Familiarity with network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, etc.).
+ Knowledge of basic network security principles and best practices.

Tools and Platforms:

+ Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
+ Familiarity with ticketing and change management systems.

Soft Skills:

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Experience:

* 2-5 years of experience in

network implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
