Senior Support Engineer (CCNP and Meraki)Senior Support Engineer - Cisco and Meraki NetworkingFulltime EmploymentLocation: Philippines - BGC Taguig City, On-siteTo expand our current international "Follow the Sun" support team, we are looking for candidates for the position of Senior Support Engineer on Cisco and Meraki Networking technologies.Job descriptionAs a Senior Support Engineer, you will provide expert technical assistance to our global customers and internal team members with high-level system and networking requests.As a member of the international Group Support organization, the Senior Support Engineer will provide onsite and remote support from our Manila office which is one of the "Follow the Sun" support centres for the Group organization, based in the Netherlands. You will work independently and as part of a team to answer service desk calls, urgently analyse technical issues, address escalated issues, and troubleshoot over the phone/onsite/via remote access. This position will require flexible work hours for systems deployment and troubleshooting activities.What are your responsibilities?You are an experienced Engineer, familiar with Cisco networking best practices, especially on the Cisco and Meraki Routing and Switching and SD-WAN portfolios. You have a thorough knowledge of Networking and Infrastructure principles. You will support various customers by analysing error-reports, logfiles and network disruptions. Partly responsible for proposing solutions to the customer. In addition, managing (part of) the IT infrastructure of customers in order to guarantee further stability and continuity. In addition to good cooperation with your colleagues, you are partly responsible for building up knowledge and experience within the international team.Detailed statement of duties and responsibilities Work independently and with approved vendors to resolve network related issues; Creates and updates all documentation as it pertains to the current state of network architecture; Functional knowledge on how to connect public and private networks while not compromising network stability; Functional knowledge of cable standards, multi/single mode fibre, proprietary and standard serial communication protocols; Fundamental knowledge of GDPR and PII requirements; Engaging in high-level analysis and troubleshooting of network infrastructure Analysing, categorizing and registering service calls; Performs all work in a cooperative and professional manner with other Team members; Provides technical expertise, direction and leadership to other team members; Performs research and analysis on all requests for problem resolution; Performs other related duties as requested by supervisor. As a Support Engineer you are reporting to the Service Desk Manager; Willingness to participate and share in rotating on-call duties.Qualifications required at hire Proven experience with designing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Meraki networks; Expert knowledge of routing protocols (e.g. EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, and BGP); Knowledge of VLAN technology, VTP and STP protocols; Solid understanding of network routers and switches; Experience in Network monitoring and management tools; Experience in QoS; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Ability to work independently or in a team setting; Extensive knowledge and experience in creating and updating Network Visio Diagrams.What is your profile? You have completed a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering (or related technical degree); You must have a valid Cisco CCNA certificate. Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification is desired; Minimum of 1 to 3 years of work experience as a Network or Support Engineer; Preferably ITIL Foundation certified; Demonstrable knowledge of both Cisco and Meraki Routing & Switching and SD-WAN technologies at an advanced level; You have good communication and analytical skills; You have a hands-on mentality, are flexible and are a real team player.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: Php70,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per monthBenefits:
