Job Description


General Description: The employee will work in a dynamic team responsible for the delivery of local access components functionally supported by DT Technik ( DTT) Global IP-VPN Production, Delivery & Operations, Global Access Delivery for DTT\xe2\x80\x99s International data and voice standard service offering portfolio. The employee will work predominantly in post-sales delivery ensuring that committed customer delivery commitments are met, increasing customer satisfaction. In addition, the employee will contribute to the further development and enhancements of the DTT\xe2\x80\x99s service portfolio by using his/her strong local market knowledge to actively contribute in provider selection, provider consolidation, network optimization initiatives. \xc2\xa7 Manage timely administration and processing of incoming access service orders by fully managing the implementation of the various access services which might comprise of various service elements such as \xe2\x80\x98Local Loops\xe2\x80\x99, \xe2\x80\x98Routers\xe2\x80\x99, \xe2\x80\x98Back-Up services\xe2\x80\x99, \xe2\x80\x98Encryption technology\xe2\x80\x99, \xe2\x80\x98Switches\xe2\x80\x99 etc. \xc2\xa7 Maintain pro-active contact with local customer representatives from the beginning of the local access delivery period by introducing DTT and the respective local delivery objective to the given customer contact including verifying customer and installation details and providing ongoing status reports to the local customer. Co-ordinate local on-site engineering activities with the customer. \xc2\xa7 Track supplier deliverables against set time lines and continuous updates of DTT internal tracking / ordering tools by updating key delivery milestones and technical provisioning details. \xc2\xa7 Maintain a delivery reliability of all access components of at least 90% against agreed timelines and minimize internal order processing and completion delays. \xc2\xa7 Present own results and DTT generic service information to customers; participate in solution shaping customer events on request. \xc2\xa7 Manage the processing and administration of \xe2\x80\x98Cancelations\xe2\x80\x99 for service elements to reduce cost exposure to the company against cancelled customer contracts. \xc2\xa7 Manage day-to-day provider / supplier deliverables against set time lines. \xc2\xa7 Work as a sub project leader access delivery in project implementation teams (post sales) during customer network roll-outs or migrations. \xc2\xa7 Maintain strong collaboration with procurement for cost saving initiatives and DTT GIP Global Provider Management (namely the Telecom Provider Managers) for Operational provider performance management. \xc2\xa7 Manage and administration of provider network interconnections including pro-active communication on interconnection utilization. \xc2\xa7 Maintain accurate administration of DTT\xe2\x80\x99s ordering and inventory databases. \xc2\xa7 Contribute to the development of DTT\xe2\x80\x99s service offering portfolio by identifying local network optimization potentials. Contribute in the generation of internal business cases for management approval to utilize local network optimization in the overall cost reduction drive of DTT. \xc2\xa7 Manage and support service management activities within the live cycle of the delivery to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction based on DTT\xe2\x80\x99s service in excellence methodology. \xc2\xa7 Provide consultancy support on operations procedures, interaction of operations units, usage of tools such as local provider portals and inventory database during the live cycle of the projects / contracts \xc2\xa7 The role will be office based . Due to the international nature of business, occasional travel within the region will be required. \xc2\xa7 Maintain Internal Relationship Management \xc2\xa7 Maintain and manage Administration / Documentation \xc2\xa7 Manage specifically assigned tasks set by the functional management team if and when required \xc2\xa7 Support management if and when required

Work experience requirements: \xc2\xa7 A thorough understanding of the local / regional telecommunication markets. \xc2\xa7 Excellent telecommunications knowledge with commercial and technical background and an understanding of how they are applied in business \xc2\xa7 Experience with multinational companies \xc2\xa7 Strong skills in supply chain management and provider performance improvements \xc2\xa7 Strong track record of achievements \xc2\xa7 At least 5 years technical/telecommunications post sales support / delivery management background \xc2\xa7 Experience in a sales environment with customer contact \xc2\xa7 Experience in project work leadership \xc2\xa7 Good commercial understanding of various cost drivers within customer solutions

Technical Requirements: \xc2\xa7 Excellent English communication - written, verbal and presentation skills \xc2\xa7 Very good analytical skills \xc2\xa7 Creative and organizational skills to create and implement service and process improvements \xc2\xa7 Confidence and presence to deal with customers, suppliers and colleagues at high level \xc2\xa7 Experience of product specific designs utilising IP, IP VPN MPLS, SD-WAN, Ethernet, Clear Channel, xDSL, Voice, VoIP, LAN and security products such as Firewalls, especially with respect to delivery and operations. \xc2\xa7 Proactive individual \xc2\xa7 Ability to define and meet deadlines and targets \xc2\xa7 Very good team player and team leader

Education/professional qualifications required: \xc2\xa7 Minimum BEng/BSC or equivalent qualification in related fields

Desirable Skills: \xc2\xa7 German language skills beneficial but not essential \xc2\xa7 Good working knowledge of ITIL \xc2\xa7 Willingness to travel within the country or/and international
