Job Title: Management AccountantLocation: Changi Airport, SingaporeType: Full-time, PermanentSalary: CompetitiveStarting: July 2024Join us on our journey!Prosegur Change are now opening several new branches at Changi Airport and therefore looking for a Management Accountant.:An exciting opportunity awaits you in our Changi Airport operation to join one of the most successful independent retail foreign exchange groups. We are committed to nurturing individual skills and supporting career aspirations.As a Management Accountant at Prosegur Change, your role will be integral to the financial operations of the company. You will maintain the accounting records of the business and prepare the related management reports.Key Responsibilities:Financial accounting

• Manage Accounts Payable staff, ensuring the accurate recording and settlement of all invoices, expenses and processing of all other bank payments
• Manage staff responsible for recording and checking of bank transactions
• Maintain and ensure general ledger records, bank accounts, customer/supplier accounts, control accounts and key balance sheet accounts (including fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, cash on premises and inter company accounts) are updated and reconciled on a monthly basis
• Record the monthly payroll in the general ledger ensuring that control accounts are reconciled and ensure the timely payment of deductions to relevant parties
• Maintain fixed asset register and reconcile it with the general ledger

Management accounting

• Prepare monthly management reports
• Prepare monthly analysis to support the operational teams
• Regular cash flow forecasting
• Prepare and review annual budgets and forecasts
• Prepare supporting analysis and documentation to assist the Group with investment decisions
• Prepare / review sales reports and KPIs by profit centre

Taxation:

• Manage the payroll reconciliation, GST returns and Corporation tax (with external support)

Systems and software

• Review and update systems and software in use, proposing improvements where possible
• Assist with the automation of the month end processes, integration of software and improvement of the efficiency of the financial reporting

Specific projects:

• Assist with the implementation and development of Oracle ERP
• Assess the reports available from GTS and evaluate their suitability from both a control and reporting perspective

Trading partners and bankers:

• Build strong relationships with trading partners and banking providers
• Deal with all queries efficiently and professionally

People:

• Liaise with auditors
• Work closely with the operational team to provide financial support to all areas of the business
• Manage the people reporting to you effectively and in accordance with Group management standards and procedures
• Build relationships with the Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer

Operations:

• Demonstrate a good understanding of the foreign exchange business in order to be able to relate it to the work involved
• Develop a good understanding of money laundering procedures in order to identify any potential errors and risks to the business
• Be fully aware of the latest requirements in the Company Vision, Mission, Values and Aspirations and ensure that it is fully implemented both personally and by any direct reports

Requirements:

• Technically sound with latest IFRS2 knowledge
• GST, payroll and basic Corporation Tax experience
• A strong eye for detail and comfortable working with large volumes of data in Excel
• An understanding of foreign exchange accounting

Working Hours:

• 40 hours per week

• Must be eligible to work full-time in Singapore
