Job Description

:

• Assess and identify occupational therapy and functional needs of children based on sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options
• Deliver therapy services either by direct therapy, consultation with teachers and parents, collaboration with teachers and parents, or by monitoring of child\'s progress
• Work in collaboration with teaching/non-teaching staff and caregivers for the effective enhancement of services.
• Work closely with intervention team in areas of assessment, goal development, intervention strategies and progress monitoring in a trans-disciplinary setting
• Work closely with intervention team to develop each child\'s Individual Education Plan (IEP)
• Maintain documentation on child\'s progress
• Conduct in-service and parent workshop talks

Requirements

• Bachelors\' Degree or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Health under the Allied Health Professions Act
• Have obtained Full Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
• Preferably with 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in working with preschool and primary school aged children
• Has a passion to work with children with a range of psychological and emotional needs
• Possess excellent inter-personal qualities and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced work environment
• Available to match a monthly timeslot for at least 1 class timing below

Class Timings:Class 1: Tue & Thu, 9.30am to 12.30pmClass 2: Tue & Thu, 3pm to 6pmClass 3: Wed & Fri, 9.30am to 12.30pmClass 4: Wed & Fri, 3pm to 6pmThe hourly rate will range from $120 - $160 per hour.We will be looking at a monthly block of 8-10 hours for all our classes.Work location : Woodlands (near Woodlands MRT station)Qualifications:
