The APAC Pricing Specialist is responsible for: -

• Pre-engagement with local sales team to understand the pricing requirement
• Translate and cascade pricing instructions for involved country/trade management pricing teams using simplified internal RCM template
• Checking for completeness and correctness of rate/data submissions in accordance to customer service requirements
• Handle all pricing related inquiries from countries/trade management
• Reviews and benchmark pricing received from the countries to ensure competitive submissions to the customers (For target and focus accounts or as needed)
• Comprehensive translation from internal pricing file to external customer file
• Ensure timely, competitive and complete submission of RFQ rate cards
• Upon award of the business, ensure to forward to Nanjing team the nominated lanes using the agreed simplified internal RCM template

Skill required

• Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of forwarding business especially on Pricing or Tender Management
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to properly engage with country pricing teams of different cultural backgrounds
• Good analytical mind ideally paired with operational experience to be able to quickly understand and challenge country bid input
• Fluency in English

• Background in Ocean Freight
• Experience in doing tender/pricing
