Financial Restructuring Group

Responsibilities

The financial restructuring group is looking for an Off-Cycle Intern (Financial Analyst) in our Singapore office.

Restructuring Off-Cycle Interns (Financial Analysts) work specifically with the group, assisting with a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A. The group offers a unique opportunity for Summer Financial Analysts to work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries. These services include:

• Advising companies and stakeholders in out-of-court and in-court restructurings
• Raising debt and equity financings
• Providing distressed M&A advisory services
• Advising in special situations with elements of distressed investing
• Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of our client

Off-Cycle Intern Financial Analysts are typically members of deal teams comprising at least one managing director, vice president, associate and financial analyst.

Requirements/Qualifications

The following qualifications are required:

• Be immediately available for full-time work
• Strong academic track record and hold or be on track for a 2:1 degree in accounting, economics and/or finance
• Top academic performer and a quick learner capable of performing in an unstructured environment
• A demonstrated interest in restructuring
• Prior investment banking internship experience (M&A or an industry team), leverage finance, credit/debt or restructuring is desirable, but not essential
• Thorough understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications
• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
• Strong LBO and DCF modelling skills are desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• An exceptional strong work ethic
• Hold working rights in Singapore
