What the role is:Republic Polytechnic\'s Office of Corporate Communications is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our media relations team as a Deputy Manager/Manager. The candidate will play an important role in managing Republic Polytechnic\'s media engagements and execute the communications strategy.What you will be working on:Manage RP\'s ongoing media relations campaigns and key events such as Open House, Graduation Ceremony, industry collaborations, etc.Collaborate and interface with RP academic schools, corporate departments, and stakeholders to identify and review potential media pitches.Craft press materials such as media releases, pitch notes, and advisories as part of RP\'s ongoing media engagements effort.Identify and manage inbound and outbound media interview requests across a diverse range of media angles to brand RP positively.Support RP\'s crisis communications and emergency preparedness efforts.Track and follow up on media coverage outcomes to gauge the effectiveness of RP\'s media campaigns.Support RP\'s digital and social media efforts including copyediting of social media posts and website copies as needed.Ad-hoc administrative roles that include representing the department in working committees and other agency-wide initiatives.What we are looking for:At least four to five years of relevant work experience in agency or in-house corporate communications, particularly in media relations. Past working experience in the education sector is a plus.Highly proficient in the English language with excellent writing skills.
