Job Description

What the role is:

The successful job applicant will contribute to the overall artistic and student development of The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC) at Republic Polytechnic, amongst other duties.

What you will be working on:

• Administer and manage the running of the Arts and Aesthetics Student Groups in RP, and this includes areas such as student management and pastoral care (life skills), and the trainers\' management while complying with RP\'s financial and purchasing (procurement) policies and processes.

• Collaborate with arts organisations/partners (eg. National Arts Council) and /or artistes to build TRCC image as the Arts Hub for the communities of the North region.

• Programme and produce TRCC\'s Main Festivals as well to support all OSG and RP events.

What we are looking for:

• Relevant academic qualifications with at least 4 years of relevant arts management working experience in the arts industry.
• Interest in youth work, community engagement and education.
• A good track record of producing, and delivering successful live performance events and programmes for relevant target groups in a cultural, community or institutional organization context.
• Excellent relationship management, project management, student groups management, communication and writing skills.
• Basic marketing skills is required. Good knowledge of content creation, usage of marketing platforms, designing and video production would be preferable.
• Additional knowledge in Traditional Arts (Malay) would be a bonus.
