JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives:

• Advance Abbott Nutrition data and analytics maturity through Trustworthy Analytical Reporting Tool.
• Advance Abbott Nutrition data-driven decision making through Capacity Modeling and Analytics.
• Run and enhance existing Resource Management Practices for EU/Asia Engineering.

Major Responsibilities:

• Trustworthy Analytical Reporting Tool
• To develop user friendly analytical applets, visualizations, dashboards and tools that optimizes/improves manufacturing and engineering operations in Abbott Nutrition and support data-driven decision making.
• To support database management, governance, consolidation and cleansing efforts to build meaningful and accurate analytical data marts for advanced data analytics, operations research and industrial engineering purposes.
• To develop data cleaning and data wrangling tools (Python, SQL, Excel) for sustainable model building and support analytics and optimization models.
• Capacity Modeling and Advanced Analytics
• To build / validate / run discrete event simulation models to evaluate pros and cons of future improvement initiatives and options. Support leadership in data-driven decision making and prioritization of capital and resources.
• To support strategic plant simulation capacity studies including activities (not exhaustive) such as data template creation, data management, data collection and validation, time and motion studies, process mapping and drawing, bottleneck analysis, simulation modeling, operations research modeling and heuristics applications.
• To support advanced analytics models in areas such as utility usage forecasting, anomaly detections etc.
• Resource Management Practices for EU/Asia Engineering
• To support quarterly LBE resource hours projections.
• To support monthly resource hours consolidation and chargeability process.
• To build sustainable analytical and reporting systems that provide more visibility to leadership on resource utilization statistics (retrospective and looking forward). Aim is to facility resource optimization to maximize enterprise value through better focus on high value add work.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Strong knowledge in data engineering and data management tools like Python and SQL.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query and Power BI.
• Strong analytical/critical thinking/problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
• Good to know capacity modeling methods and discrete event simulation tools.
• Willingness to learn and work in an agile environment.

Education:

• Major in Engineering Discipline from a recognized university.
