Job Description

The Singapore branch is looking to hire a VP, Operational Risk Management to join their Risk department. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this is an individual contributor role where you will take the lead across 3 key aspects of Operational Risk Management, Outsourcing and Business Continuity Management. Role and responsibilities

• To manage operational risk incidents in the Region & maintain relevant policies and procedures.
• To perform operational risk reporting and annual self-assessment exercise
• To manage the new product process for the APAC region and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders in Head Office (HO)
• To manage new & existing outrounding arrangements in the region and maintain the relevant documentation in coordination with the outsourcing owners
• To maintain outsourcing policies and procedures and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders in the region and HO
• To maintain regional BCM documentation and relevant policies and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders in the region and HO
• To conduct annual BCM testing exercise
• To act as crisis manager and coordinate the regional response with senior management in case of a longer-term business disruption
• To perform the annual Internal Control Testing
• To track all outstanding audit items or other measures and follow-up with measure owners to ensure timely completion

Key requirements

• Degree/ Diploma with major in Business, Banking/ Finance or related subject
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in BCM and/or Operational Risk within the banking industry
• Candidates must have good knowledge of relevant regulations with regards to BCM, Operational Risk and Outsourcing
• Good stakeholder management skills and a track record of successfully building relationships remotely across multiple locations
• Proactive and solution-oriented working style, able to be self-motivated
• Analytical, meticulous and able to perform under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
