Position Summary

This position is responsible for supervising an operations team in managing warehouse operations activities.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Manager in managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the warehouse operations.
  • Lead the team to achieve the departments KPI goals.
  • Prepare, maintain and update documentation of processes to meet accounts requirements and changes in customer requirements
  • To ensure work processes are in compliance with documented procedures and proper housekeeping of the warehouse.
  • Ensure timely processing of all inbound and outbound activities.
  • Ensures the highest degree of efficiency is maintained always.
  • Supervises and monitors the performance of employees to ensure standard practices and proper care of using the equipment, materials and supplies in the warehouse.
  • Supervise the distribution flow, and the transportation activities of company\xe2\x80\x99s managed warehouse
  • Provide on-the-job training to warehouse staff.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation on stock discrepancy.
  • Ensure timely updating of WMS on stocks return and follow-up system updates of closeout items.
  • Manage inventory accuracy via planned cycle count, monthly inventory reconciliation, inventory analysis and related reports.
  • Highlight to Operations Manager for any irregularity in the warehouse.
  • Ensure warehouse operations safety and security.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in implementation of work improvement projects.
  • Communicates with customers on operations and service issues
  • Maintain complete visibility of all current and cargo movements.
  • Participate in customer meetings and manage transportation service providers.
  • Evaluate service levels, review processes and procedures, identify areas for improvement, and establish and execute action plans.
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to assigned personnel to enable them to effectively perform their jobs.
  • Monitor and track all warehouse, transportation and administrative costs associated with their assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications Summary

Experience:

This position requires 6 years working experience with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations with at least 3 years in supervisory position.

Education:

Diploma or above in Logistics Management or equivalent

Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge in Warehouse Management System (WMS) and able to generate and analyze inventory reports
  • Good understanding Customer requirements for business account
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc
  • Good leadership skills
  • Able to use a systematic approach in decision-making
  • Exhibit good judgment and understanding of issues
  • Good working knowledge of the following operations areas \xe2\x80\x93 distribution, manufacturing, inventory planning, network analysis, materials management.
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  • Good Communication skills
