Being part of the back office operations in the area of Operations Control for Singapore and Hong Kong Booking Centres primarily for checking controls within Operations
Responsible for doing the Bank's Controls , support data requests for Audit and Regulatory purposes, Business Contingency Management (BCM) documentation reviews and testing coordination, relevant Outsourcing arrangements review, Policy reviews and facilitate consultations, Contract Note Rules (CNR) monitoring and reporting, Operational Incident management, ensuring periodic reconciliation on cash, safe deposit contents, Tax Reporting FATCA/CRS /QI, facilitate Client Tax Reporting
Close collaboration with internal partners, external providers and relevant departments on system and workflow improvements
Proactive in problem resolution and operational incident management ensuring to work with stakeholders to identify root causes, swift resolution and future avoidance
Work with various stakeholders to coordinate for client tax statements and monitor the turnaround time
Review policies, and facilitate consultation process and get it approved in a timely fashion
Complete Bank's Control reviews , BCM plan review and execution, review outsourcing arrangements, Tax reporting obligations
Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Work with the relevant teams in fulfilment of regulatory requirements, specifically risk Management on anticipated risks, operational incident management and self-assessments
Support internal and external related audits with the responsibility to negotiate, align, remediate and close items timely and effectively, support reviews/survey /consultation papers from a regulatory perspective, complete Mandatory trainings
Requirements:
Degree qualified and minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in Banking
Proficiency in MS Office software and competent end-to-end knowledge of the private banking value chain
Prior knowledge of Regulatory Tax Reporting- QI/FATCA /CRS is essential and knowledge Wealth Management Operations is preferable.
Having eye for detail, risk/control mind-set, anticipate upcoming risks, ability to review processes and implement mitigating controls
Able to interact with people at various levels
High level of integrity, commitment and drive to excel in the role
Demonstrates initiative and passion and is an effective team-player
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines
