Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to COO and dotted line to CEO - Manage team of 4 Retail Managers , 400 front liners for 19 duty free stores across 4 terminals in Changi Airport to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company\'s overall goals
  • Coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities
  • Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits
  • Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
  • Communicating with the board or other senior officials about shifting company priorities and projects
  • Identifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue
  • Identifying opportunities to expand or shift course in order to take advantage of changes in the market
  • Manage and accountable for the bottom lines, inventory management, sales, retail operations and service excellence KPIs
  • Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in retail operations and management.
  • Mentoring for fellow team members with less experience
  • Able to lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Able to influence operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
  • Liaise with landlord closely on operations related issues and expectations.
  • Work closely with HR Training and development Team to initiate, review and improve training and development content for front line operation teams
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus with team members.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties / projects as assigned by Management
Requirements:
  • Successful candidate needs to have - at least 8 to 10 years in multi-stores retail operations, travel retail or FMCG industry
  • Degree in Business Management or related discipline
  • Strong management skills and initiatives at work
  • Able to work shift hours and weekends if needed
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Strong passion for travel retail / retail
