Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

Supervise and coordinate ground operations including aircraft marshaling, baggage handling, fueling coordination, catering logistics, and aircraft turnaround. Ensure timely, safe, and efficient ground handling processes in accordance with airline schedules. Monitor real-time operations and respond quickly to irregularities or delays.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to aviation safety regulations (e.g., IATA, ICAO, FAA, EASA, local aviation authority standards). Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Team Management:

Recruit, train, and manage ground operations staff including ramp agents, baggage handlers, and equipment operators. Create shift rosters and ensure adequate staffing coverage. Provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.

Coordination & Communication:

Liaise with airline representatives, air traffic control, maintenance teams, fueling services, and security personnel. Serve as the point of contact for operational updates and disruptions. Participate in regular meetings with airport and airline stakeholders.

Equipment & Resource Management:

Oversee the maintenance and operation of ground support equipment (GSE). Ensure proper usage, cleanliness, and availability of tools and vehicles. Plan and manage inventory and procurement needs.

Customer Service:

Ensure smooth passenger and baggage flow, especially during disruptions. Address passenger concerns in collaboration with airline customer service teams. * Maintain a high standard of on-time performance and service quality.
