Operations Manager

Location: Sunview (Boon Lay)

Working days & hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am-6pm

Salary: 5k-8k + AWS + VB

Lead: team of 40-60, including Assistant Manager

Main Job Responsibilities:

1. To lead and manager at least one operation of company\'s logistics operations (Warehousing & Transportation) including monitoring and achievement of Operation Key Performance Index i.e. Order Accuracy, Safety, Housekeeping and Security of Operation, Warehouse turn-around-time, Billing and documentation, Inventory Management (Control, Accuracy and Level), Overtime Ratio & Labour Productivity.

2. Review and management of Revenue & Expense of operations including continuous monitoring of expenses, accurate application of revenue, negotiate and reduce costs on hired contractors, verify and authorize payment(s), continuous sourcing of contractors, management & maintenance of assets and maximize profitability.

3. Review of operation status with customers & management on a timely and regular basis.

4. Provide management report on operation status and budget figures on a timely and regular basis.

5. Manage and develop the entire operation team which may include; staff training plan, recruitment of operations staff, staff development activity and ensure efficient communication between inter-departments.

6. Manage all related matters pertaining to facility, safety and security issues.

7. Maintain good working relationships with customer.

8. As required, assist sales team in securing new business, including conduct of facility tours, presentation on operations, site visits for customers to present capabilities and/or gather data and coordination effort with engineering and IT teams.

Plan EHS training programs to increase safety awareness especially in a chemical plant.

Responsible to review Environmental test reports, implement actions to improve any out-of- control conditions, and follow up on effectiveness.

Plan and conduct emergency evacuation drills for the company premises.

Responsible to drive emergency response and other necessary rescue protocols.

Coordinate and work together with all departments, clients, and vendors/contractors to advise on all EHS related issues.

Promote zero accident culture in the company to strive group\'s EHS KPI targets.

Work with operations team, vendors, contractors to inspect machines/equipment/processes for accident prevention program, conducts hazard identifications and risk assessment.

Educate and train employees to ensure safety is paramount priority of the job. Guide on compliance and regulatory requirements.

Owns the EHS management system and documentation. Management Representative (MR) for ISO14001.

Submission/getting approval of EHS licensing/permits required for the factory.
