What the role is:Are you keen to learn how the Singapore Police Force (SPF) regulate the private security industry (PSI) in Singapore? Are you keen to be part of the team in SPF that regulates the PSI? If so, we want you to join us in the Police Licensing & Regulatory Department (PLRD). The Operations Officer (Private Security Industry) or OO PSI is the lead staff responsible for working closely with key stakeholders, government agencies and representatives of the PSI to articulate, initiate and recommend regulatory policies, to transform and bring it to new heights. The OO PSI is responsible for reviewing the legislation, policies and licence conditions of persons and activities regulated in the PSI, such as security officers, security agencies and security service providers. The OO PSI plays a key role in enabling PLRD to achieve its regulatory objective of supporting the SPF mission to prevent, deter and detect crime by effectively regulating the PSI.What you will be working on:The OO PSI in SID is a civilian officer under the Management Executive Scheme. As an OO PSI, you will work closely with the PSI representatives such as security associations, Union of Security Employees, government agencies and ministries, to review and articulate regulatory policies and legislation for the PSI. You will periodically review and assess licensing conditions and criteria for the regulated persons and activities in the PSI for relevancy and applicability. You will have to write and present your findings and recommendations for management\'s consideration. You must also be able to analyse, organise and utilise facts, as well as data, to support your findings and recommendations. In addition to PSI-related work, you will coordinate the training-related key performance indicators for PLRD such as ensuring that PLRD officers meet the physical fitness test targets. You will be assisted by an Assistant OO PSI and a full-time national serviceman.What we are looking for:
