Job Description


The Operations Supervisor is directly responsible for ensuring safe and efficient day-to-day (shift by shift) operation at the airport, and shall report any changes proposed by DAC / Airlines or any other authorities that might affect the operations. You will thrive in: \xc2\xb7 Deliver Goal Zero at the site \xc2\xb7 Implement Continuous Improvement tools on the site \xc2\xb7 The Supervisor shall be thoroughly familiar with and follow regulations / instructions issued by governmental or other authorities. \xc2\xb7 The Supervisor shall ensure that the procedures specified in Aviation Operations are understood and carried out correctly and that the appropriate records are prepared and maintained by him. \xc2\xb7 The Supervisor shall ensure that the other staffs in his shift are advised of their complete range of responsibilities and supervise / guide them to a high standard operation. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that both he and his staff fully understand and comply with the company HSSE Policies, Objectives, KPIs, Targets and Performance. To ensure full compliance with policies by the team as well as visitors. Airport Operations: \xc2\xb7 Ensure all activities within area of responsibility are performed according to Aviation Operations Manual and HSSE standards. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that all staff and contractors are clear on their responsibilities, authorities and work requirements prior to undertaking work. \xc2\xb7 Regularly train & coach operators in Company standard aviation operating and safety /security procedures and ensure that aircraft fuelling is carried out in accordance with these procedures \xc2\xb7 Coordinate with the maintenance team for ensuring that aviation fuelling equipment (fixed/mobile) is well maintained and in good working condition in accordance to operational manual. Report all equipment defects, accidents, and incidents, Potential Incidents and Near Miss. \xc2\xb7 Provide assistance to the Site Manager to monitor and control revenue expenditure at the airport for cost optimization. \xc2\xb7 Zero aircraft delay / complaint performance. To reply to such enquiry within 48hrs upon receiving of e mail from customer. \xc2\xb7 Share the safety information, technical bulletins with staff on a regular basis. \xc2\xb7 Control product losses at station to keep within acceptable limits \xc2\xb7 Liaise with other stakeholders on operational issues, when required. \xc2\xb7 Overview of stock/sales control on a daily basis done by the Shift Team Lead \xc2\xb7 Ensure correct vehicle meter reconciliation on a daily basis. \xc2\xb7 Ensure Right First Time Approach in terms of entry for correct customer billing. \xc2\xb7 Assist the Airport Operations Manager in reviewing equipment specifications to ensure fit for purpose equipment is procured. \xc2\xb7 Maintain the duty roster and provide guidance to the Operations Shift Team Lead in manpower distribution according to the aircraft movement and resource available at the most optimal level. \xc2\xb7 Help Airport Operations Manager to update the Traffic Survey periodically. (at least twice yearly) \xc2\xb7 Support the Airport Manager and Country Operations Manager on projects or tasks assigned. HSSE: \xc2\xb7 Maintain Goal Zero of No harm and No Leak . \xc2\xb7 Promote a generative HSSE culture through team engagement and support self-reporting through Near Miss and Potential Incident \xc2\xb7 Conduct regular Observation on Tarmac (Go See) in every shift to coach and provide guidance to operators in HSSE Compliance and Operation Excellence through Learning Mindset. \xc2\xb7 Promote the implementation of recognition schemes to encourage the reporting of incidents, near misses and unsafe acts or conditions. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for all aspects of safety and security within the site during the shift, including prompt reporting as per guidelines and taking corrective action. Enter all incidents and near misses in FIM Platform. \xc2\xb7 Provide assistance in any incidents in terms of investigation. \xc2\xb7 Implement and maintain HSSE control framework within area of responsibility What we need from you? \xc2\xb7 Diploma holder preferably in Mechanical / Electrical / Aviation or \xc2\xb7 Previous experience in operational or maintenance roles, minimum 3 to 5 years at Supervisory level. \xc2\xb7 Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence people\xe2\x80\x99s mindsets and behaviours. \xc2\xb7 Detailed knowledge of hazards and risks involved in activities being undertaken and an overall understanding of HSSE management systems / control framework requirements. \xc2\xb7 Strong organizational and time management skills. \xc2\xb7 Heavy goods vehicle license (Class 4 ) (preferred).
