Job Summary
The Operations Support Engineer plays a key role in embedding security best practices into development and operations workflows. This role ensures the delivery of secure, high-performing applications while maintaining an efficient and fast-paced development lifecycle.
You will monitor and enhance system performance, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and implement solutions to improve system reliability. The position involves close collaboration with development teams to integrate robust security measures, automate operational processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Additionally, you will handle incident response, conduct regular system audits, and provide technical support to maintain seamless, secure, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Testers, and Solution Architects to deliver technical solutions.
• Contribute to hands-on coding and scripting for automation and system improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and adherence to best practices.
• Support and manage CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and infrastructure provisioning, while optimizing cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve low-code application issues.
• Plan and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Adhere to IT management, quality management, and security policies to ensure development processes comply with organizational guidelines.
• Manage and resolve day-to-day IT issues related to applications, infrastructure, or security to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee QA and testing processes to maintain product quality and functionality.

Essential Skills

• Cloud expertise with hands-on experience in AWS Cloud (experience with Government Commercial Cloud GCC is a plus).
• Strong DevOps experience, including hands-on work with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and SonarQube.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of relational databases, cloud-based architectures, Docker, and containerization.
• Programming experience in Python, React, Node.js, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is preferred.
• Ability to create scripts and API integrations, with knowledge of JWT, JWKS, Cognito, and Authorizers.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Amazon Q, or Gemini is an advantage.
• Strong design, coding, testing, and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and web-based and mobile IT development is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals at all levels.
• Experience working in a government environment and knowledge of enterprise digital governance is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in resolving application, infrastructure (desktop, server, network), and security-related issues, preferably in a Singapore government environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 full Agile or project development life cycles.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• A team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
