Design and implement inclusive, culturally sensitive events (e.g. festivals, health fairs, sports tournaments) tailored to migrant workers' needs
Coordinate logistics such as venue setup, catering, entertainment, transportation, and volunteer management
Develop event timelines, checklists, and contingency plans to ensure smooth execution
Ensure events are respectful of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
Avoid contents or activities that may be perceived as discriminatory or politically sensitive
Provide translation or interpretation services where needed
2. Regulatory Compliance (MOM FEDA)
Ensure all events comply with MOM's FEDA licensing conditions, including safety, crowd control, and infrastructure standards
Liaise with MOM's Forward Assurance and Support Teams (FAST) and ACE Group for guidance
3. Migrant Worker Well-being
Organise programmes that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being (e.g. health screenings, mental health talks, recreational activities)
Collaborate with NGOs, healthcare providers, and community groups to deliver support services
Monitor feedback and engagement levels to assess impact and improve future initiatives
4. Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with NGOs, sponsors, community partners, and embassies to co-organize events
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure quality and reliability
5. Risk & Safety Management
Ensure the conduct of risk assessments and implement safety protocols for all events
Ensure emergency response plans are in place and communicated to all staff and volunteers
6. Budgeting & Resource Management
Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and transparency
Source sponsorships and donations to support event activities
Track expenditures and report financials to Management and relevant authorities
7. Communication & Outreach
Promote events through multilingual channels (e.g. posters, WhatsApp, dormitory notice boards, Tenant Module)
Collect feedback from migrant workers to improve future events
Maintain records of attendance, feedback, and incident reports
8. Management & Operations Support
Provide the required management support on periodical reporting to stakeholders and record minutes of meetings
Render support to the Operations Teams as assigned by the Dormitory Management
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field
Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in event coordination, operations support, or community engagement; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered
Familiarity with MOM's Foreign Employee Dormitories Act (FEDA) regulations
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work respectfully with migrant workers, vendors, and partners from diverse cultural backgrounds
Proficient in English (spoken and written); ability to communicate in additional languages such as Tamil, Bengali, or Mandarin will be an advantage
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with digital communication platforms (e.g. WhatsApp, social media, or tenant engagement systems)
Willing to work evenings, weekends, or public holidays when events and programmes are scheduled
Adaptable, positive team player with a hands-on attitude; able to support other operational functions when required
Physically fit and comfortable working in a dormitory environment, including during outdoor activities and large-scale events
