Job Description
To ensure the smooth, secure, and efficient operation of data centre facilities by managing day-to-day technical operations, monitoring infrastructure health, and supporting hardware installations, maintenance, and incident response. The role is essential for maintaining uptime, performance, and reliability of IT systems hosted in the data centre.
Infrastructure Monitoring & Operations
Monitor servers, networks, power systems, HVAC, and security systems. Respond promptly to alerts or anomalies and escalate as needed. Ensure compliance with SLAs for system uptime and performance.
Hardware Handling
Execute regular physical inspections and audits of racks and equipment.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
First-level troubleshooting of system or facility-related incidents. Log, track, and escalate incidents following defined procedures. Coordinate with engineering and vendor teams for resolution.
Maintenance & Housekeeping
Carry out routine maintenance tasks like system reboots, backups, and preventive checks. Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety within the data hall. Ensure environmental factors (temperature, humidity) remain within threshold.
Access Management & Security
Enforce strict access controls and escort visitors or vendors in the DC. Verify identity and approval for access based on established policies. Maintain accurate records of access logs and activities.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain inventory records of assets and hardware movement. Update logs for changes, incidents, and preventive maintenance. Generate reports for operations review and compliance audits.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $1,766.11 - $3,400.00 per month
