Organic & New Channels Senior Manager

Castlery is looking for an Organic & New Channels Senior Manager to join our Growth Marketing team!

A newly created role, the Organic & New Channels Senior will report to the Head of Growth Marketing and help scale our existing marketing channels and find new channels to drive Castlery\'s continuous growth at different stages.

This role will have a direct impact on expanding the various marketing channels for Castlery across, Australia, Singapore and the US, and will be a great fit for someone that enjoys working within an inspiring, transparent and horizontal environment. In addition to building new channels, the role will also be a key voice in improving our growth outside of typical marketing channels.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Overall growth strategies and process for the new channels, including Affiliates, Direct buying partners, SEO and other emerging new channels in the market, aiming to drive sustainable growth from channels outside of Facebook and Google, and to drive share of organic traffic. Staying up to date with new trends and customers behaviors - ensuring Castlery is evaluating and testing new channels to broaden our acquisition.
  • Plan long term growth strategies, and plan resources to support the growth of the channels. You know the current context and evolving customers. You will build the overall strategy with these insights, and work with each team to shape the strategies and plan the efforts. You would need to seed new initiatives for the continuous growth by foreseeing the growth constraints.
  • Balancing good executions and long-term strategies. With good strategy and understanding of the context and customers, you will need to drive creative and excellent executions to increase the likelihood of the success of new channels. Speak in the language of customers, making it fun and creating value for the customers.
  • Balancing speed and quality. You know how to balance speed and quality when it comes to execution. You know when it\'s more important to prioritize speed and when it\'s more important to prioritize quality. And you can give framework and guidance to the team for decision making.
  • Come up with the framework to evaluate, decide and test new channels. With many possible channels and limited resources, it\'s critical to be able to identify and prioritize the right channels with calculated risks and returns. You would need to drive market research, data collection, testing frameworks and execution processes to build systematic approaches for new channels.
  • Measure the impact of the Organic and New Channels. Unlike Facebook, Google and other existing channels, the new channels or word of mouth are usually harder to track and measure the impact. You would need to develop metrics and measurement approaches with the analytics team to be able to quantify the impact, making informed decisions and influence channel growth.
  • Understand the concept of growth loop and build the loops into our channels. To drive continuous growth, it\'s not only about new channels, but also to drive growth loops from existing channels and audience. You will help to build and drive these growth loops.
  • Leading and coaching the team to drive evolving strategies. As the company grows, the strategy for growth will need to evolve, and thus the capabilities of the teams. As the senior manager, you will lead multiple teams and be responsible for the growth of each team. You will need to lead with clear strategies and examples, and coach and grow the teams to the next level.
  • Work with Creative, Campaign, Analytics, Merchandising and Tech teams, to build collaborative processes to drive growth and operation efficiency. Part of the role is to translate the customer and market needs into the internal teams to best support the growth, including building processes, products and tools with different stakeholders.
What you\'ll need
  • At least 5 years\' experience in marketing or product management, and at least 3 years of relevant team management experience
  • Experience in SEO, Affiliates, Direct Buying and some emerging new channels
  • Experience in growing a country or owning the growth strategies of a product or a category
  • Proven track record in owning budget and driving excellence in growing a few channels. Experience in achieving targets with insights, planning and good executions.
  • An entrepreneur who is passionate about the latest trends and technologies in the market, and brings the new trends and information into the team
  • You have strategic thinking, who understands the business context and customers well, and is able to drive clear strategies continuously for the team
  • You will be curious and willing to dive deep into the insights behind data. And use data to guide the decision and initiatives.
  • You are comfortable gathering relevant data, making assumptions and decisions, measuring and validating assumptions in the channel operations.
  • An inspiring leader who can motivate the teams to test new channels
  • You are a good balancer of strategic mindset and bias for action. You know when to think deeper and when to execute fast.
  • Experience in guiding managers, setting targets and building a strong foundation for success
  • Have capabilities in identifying and solving complex problems innovatively, and be proactive in finding resources and prioritization
  • Is able to lead some cross-functional projects independently, build processes to collaborate with other teams
  • Looks beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems.
