Job Description

A paralegal with a strong interest in regulatory work. Our client is an established firm in the legal industry in Singapore.





Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with Complainants and apprise them of the requirements under the LPA requirements
  • Administrating/assisting of Legal Profession (Solicitors' Accounts) Rules, (intervention into the client account of law practices and inspections and all other regulatory matters).
  • Drafting of correspondence for regulatory matters including mandatory notices under the LPA, meeting agendas/ minutes/matters arising for all disciplinary matters/ committee work and regulatory matters
  • Draft & prepare Annual Report for the respective Committees handled by Regulatory Department
  • Information on disciplinary records upon receiving the request from both internal/external agencies
  • Accurate statistics on disciplinary matters for AGM as well as other requests from both internal/external agencies
  • Update Master File Register and disciplinary records in CRM in a timely manner and ensure the integrity of date/information entered
  • Appointment, scheduling and administration of mediators and members
  • Prep slides for seminars/presentations given by the Regulatory Department

Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Law or Legal
  • 3 - 5 years of working experience preferably in the litigation department of a Singapore law practice
  • Good time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in writing and verbal communication skills
  • Multi-task efficiently, whilst maintaining a high quality of work and attention to detail within tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and good team player with good administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong people management skills, with high EQ
  • Highly ethical, discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
