About the Role

Our Singapore office is looking for an experienced financial services (FS) / Regulatory Associate with demonstrable knowledge of UK and/or EU regimes covering broker dealer activity, banking, investment management and anti-money laundering law and practise.

Who you’ll be working with

A global team of regulatory lawyers across the Americas, Asia and Europe with market leading experience in FS, sanctions and anti-money laundering compliance.

What you’ll be doing

You will work closely with our current team of 10 lawyers at varying experience levels, to develop the FS and Regulatory practice globally. The department plans to grow its presence in Asia and the Caribbean in 2022 and beyond.

Responsibilities

Support partners and senior lawyers with research, drafting and matter administration. 
Contribute to the development of the financial services and regulatory practice in Caribbean and internationally.
 Develop a deep understanding and knowledge of contentious and non-contentious offshore and international regulatory law.
 Build effective relationships across all Harneys locations and businesses with key stakeholders, to enable successful working practices and partnerships.
 Take responsibility for training and development needs with support from key partners and senior lawyers.

Qualifications and experience 

Ideally relevant experience and a strong interest in developing their advisory and transactional skills, in FS and regulatory matters.
 Contentious experience welcomed, but not mandatory.
 Commonwealth and Irish qualified candidates are welcome to apply
 Relevant knowledge of UK and/or EU FS regimes.
