About the team:

At Aspire, we understand the critical role that legal guidance plays in our business strategy and operations. Our Legal Team is at the forefront of driving licensing strategies, managing compliance risks, and providing sound legal advice to guide Aspire\'s strategy. By providing sound legal rationale, our Legal team is vital in contributing to strategic decision-making processes, ensuring that our operations align with legal requirements and best practices.

About the role:

The Paralegal will sit in Aspire\'s head office in Singapore, and play a key role in supporting the Aspire global legal team. This position will report to the members of the Aspire legal team and will work closely with internal stakeholders across different functions on a range of cross-border projects. The Paralegal will gain exposure to international legal work across Aspire\'s various operating jurisdictions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Coordinating local and cross-border document signing and contract execution
  • Legal research and preparing briefs and memos in support of the Aspire legal team\'s international projects and business-as-usual tasks
  • Management and tracking of project timelines
  • Collaborating closely with all members of the Aspire global legal, finance, commercial and compliance teams
  • Maintaining Aspire\'s legal document database
  • Assisting with corporate secretarial matters
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating NDAs and contracts
  • Liaising with and managing Aspire\'s panel of external law firms
We would love to get to know you if you have the following:
  • A diploma or degree in law gained from a reputable educational institution
  • At least 4 years of working experience as a paralegal or legal associate gained in-house or in a law firm in Singapore
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • Handling corporate secretarial matters, including drafting board resolutions and ACRA filings, and handling notarisation of documents
  • Reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, including NDAs and commercial partnership agreements
  • Cross-border project and stakeholders management to ensure timelines are met
  • Efficiently coordinating contract signing and post-closing matters
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English language communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and ability to keep calm under pressure
