Studio Artist (Wax Figure Studio)

Madame Tussauds is a world-famous wax attraction located on Sentosa. Where else can you interact with A-List celebrities, sporting legends, political heavyweights, and historical icons?

We are looking for a Part Time Artist to join our exciting and creative Studios Team who maintain the wax figures in the attraction.

The role will support the day-to-day operation to ensure all figures and sets are presented in the highest quality for our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

• 
  Inspect and maintain all wax figures, including hair, painting, moulding and costumes
  
• Support the install of new figures and sets
  
• Support figure launches and PR events
  
• Work with the studio manager to find solutions to challenges regarding figures, stock, and materials
• Support the preparation of figures for transit
  
• You must be flexible on working hours and be prepared to work weekends, public holidays and evenings when required.

We are looking for the following skills and experience…

• Previous experience in at least two of the following areas of expertise: art restoration, sculptor,
  oil painting, costuming, make-up artistry or hairstyling.
• High attention to detail & ability to multi-task
• Passion for creating life-like work and take pride in the delivery

Finally, the successful candidate must have the confidence to demonstrate the passion in the product, the people, and fully embody the “WOW” of working at Madame Tussauds.
Please note, as part of our recruitment process, we will ask you to submit a portfolio of your work.
Education:
Ideally you have a qualification in an art related field or are currently studying/practising your craft
