Caterpillar\'s Asia Pacific Distribution Division (APD) team is seeking a talented Parts Operations Consultant in Singapore. The role will effectively support the APD team on:

About the Position:

To contribute to Caterpillar and dealer services growth by optimising and sustaining effective, efficient and profitable dealer distribution capacity and capabilities for aftermarket parts.

The primary responsibilities for this position will be (but not limited to):

This position is responsible to identify and prioritize areas through action plans to improve dealer parts operations efficiency, effectiveness and profitability with target dealers in the areas of, but not limited to, Inventory Management, Transportation, Warehouse Operations and Resource Development. They are accountable for implementation of such action plans and to capture the associated business performance improvements.

The position is required to perform complex analysis to identify root causes of operational issues, identify improvement opportunities and recommend most optimal solutions. Such analysis and solutions should be more strategic in nature.

The incumbent is a liaison among dealers and business partners within Caterpillar and will be required to lead various parties in a collaborative manner to solve complex problems and/or implement improvement plans. Timely and concise communication, decisions and escalation is critical.

The incumbent is very familiar with the company\'s products, organization, processes, policies, systems and methodologies. He/she will will consult with target dealers to:

Monitor dealer parts operations metrics, identify process improvement opportunities, and engage dealers to deliver improvement results

evelop and implement optimal inventory strategy including stock replenishment practices and demand planning

Achieve operational excellence in inventory facilities operations

Improve supply chain velocity through optimised lead time and freight management

Improve or develop parts distribution and logistics models to meet customer business needs

Support parts business planning

Serve as a dealer advocate in implementing Caterpillar policies and practices

Improve dealer capability and efficiency through training and communications

Incumbents must stay abreast of industry and technology changes and relate those changes to Caterpillar, dealer and customer needs.

Developmental opportunities will include projects-based work from time to time per assignment from direct manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

Requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience.

6 to 8 years prior experience in marketing, product or logistics

Ability to work independently, influence senior leadership, and lead change in the work group, dealer personnel and customers.

Demonstrated the ability to set strategy, lead projects independently, and work on larger scale with more complex assignments.

Provide direction and coaching to other consultants on project assignments.

Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed analysis, data interpretation, and to develop business solutions independently.
