Part-Time Lecturer for MC6321 Media Leadership and Management

We are seeking a part-time lecturer to teach in the Master of Media and Communication programme in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, a course on Media Leadership and Management. The course focuses on the organisation and operation of media organisations including critical management principles useful in dealing with issues facing managers. It will focus on some major issues of media management, including components on leadership, finance, human resource, strategic planning, and entrepreneurship.

The preferred candidate should have extensive industry experience and knowledge of the topics covered in the course. The course format consists of a total of 39 hours of instruction that comprises lectures, in-class activities and seminar discussions. The Instructor will be responsible for syllabus planning, class preparation, marking for assessment and student consultation.

Requirements:

- Master's degree or a bachelor's degree with extensive industry experience in marketing of which the past five should be in leading innovative practices in marketing

- Background in communication, media and management, or related discipline is strongly preferred
