This programme offers students the opportunity to gain cultural understanding of the language, as well as improve their literacy skills.The students' ages are from 4 to 18 years old. Classes are taught in small groups of 3 to 6 students of similar ages and linguistic levels and will take place after school (or at lunchtime for some younger students).Please note that to apply for this role, you must have an internationally recognised qualification and reside in Singapore. You must also be readily available from August 2022.Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and teach classes as required.
  • Exhibit strong classroom management skills.
  • Use technology and online resources to enhance the traditional ways of teaching and keep students more engaged.
  • Provide evaluation and documentation of student progress
Expectations and Standards
  • Follow the UWCSEA Professional Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Code of Conduct.
  • Teach in line with the UWCSEA Teacher Standards
Person Specifications
  • Applicants must be degree holders.
  • Applicants must possess teaching qualifications.
  • The ability to teach Thai to students who speak Thai as a home language.
  • Candidates must have the ability to read, write and speak fluently in Thai.
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion is essential alongside a willingness to adapt and develop pedagogy to meet the needs of our learners.
  • Contribute positively and collaboratively to the development of Thai Language and Culture in the curriculum.
  • Promoting cultural exchange and cross-cultural understanding, and embedding Thai customs, history and traditions in the lessons.
