Job Description


:

This Regional Payroll Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality time & pay services for operations across Australia and New Zealand.

Simply - this role will ensure the timely and accurate taxation and distribution of total rewards (including salary and benefits) for employees.

Payroll

  • Lead and coach payroll supervisors to lead their respective teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions, as well as month-end closing reports, tax and statutory reporting and audit matters
  • Perform regular checks and control of regional payroll and variance reconciliation for proper segregation of work.
  • Ensures proper payroll management and timely HR Administration in compliance with local labour law, regulations and individual labour agreement
  • Ensures payment of salaries, social contributions, pension plan, health care insurance, taxes, etc.
Forecast & Budgeting
  • Prepare forecast & budgeting reporting and analysis
  • Collaborates with Finance Department to ensure proper accounting of payroll costs
Withholding Tax & Year-end tax
  • Supervise Payroll Team to provide timely and accurate information on tax regulations and communication with employees.
  • Follow up and execution of year-end tax settlement for the various entities
  • Execute monthly, semi-annual, yearly income tax return according to local legislation requirement.
Governance & Reporting
  • Regular checks and keeping abreast with changing laws and legislation in payroll, pension and income tax related topics.
  • Manages the contacts with the local authorities on social contributions, pension plan, health care insurance, taxes, etc.
Audit
  • Lead the team to prepare and follow up yearly external and internal audit procedure and provide payroll related supporting to auditors.
  • Provide quality participation in payroll audits
System Management and Implementation
  • Provide subject matter expertise support to HRIS team in managing the review of payroll system and integration flow from Workday to local HRIS
  • Work with HRIS team and vendors for system updates in accordance with regular statutory contributions and tax law changes and request from the company.
  • Provide quality participation in the system implementation and integration projects for any change or service requests.
