Global Procurement (GP) is accountable for the strategic sourcing of Direct Materials, Tooling and Equipment, needed for the manufacturing and assembly of Dyson products, securing the material readiness for product launches and achieving the cost targets of the bills of material.

About the role

Dyson has an opportunity for an experienced PCBA procurement manager to manage the PCBA Commodity, including project support, materials management & full commercial ownership. You will manage related engagements with internal cross functional stakeholders as well as Dysons EMS partners. You must have experience in cross-functional leadership and intensive experience in PCBA management, electronics components knowledge and PCBA operations understanding, combined with Commodity and Supplier Strategy and related commercial experience. You will drive strategic sourcing decisions on a global basis, with Commodity ownership of the related PCBA VAM spend.

Accountabilities:

Full commercial responsibility of PCBAs for defined product categories.

Dual source activities - Work closely with commodity managers and engineering team (RDD) to implement alternative components/solutions for circuit board design.

Build up commodity strategies based on product category requirements and needs.

Screen markets for PCBA contract manufacturers that meet our requirements; drive selection process and steer PCBA allocation decision.

Own and lead the supplier interface for all RFx activities. Partner with appropriate internal stakeholders. Present RF-x results, bid analysis and lead the evaluation process of bid award, driving the closure of a sourcing decision via the Sourcing Council process.

Improve commodity performance through EMS continuous improvement, and drive savings through price negotiations, and design for cost initiatives.

Support operations and supply chain to manage materials exposure in contract manufacturers to reduce liability. Work with suppliers on cancellation & rescheduling on materials to reduce exposure.

Support RDD/engineering team on evaluation or validations build.

PCBA price management - Support the monthly costing cycle between CM and finance, controlling price submission and implementing new PCBA prices.

Manage Supplier performance through SRM and related SBR processes, ensuring best in class performance.

Full ownership of Risk management and Supplier Compliance within the commodity, driving analysis and related mitigations.

Manage Change Requests (CR)/Deviation Requests (DR) and PCBA ISIR qualification at contract manufacturers.

Key focal person to manage PCBA contract manufacturers\' CTB (Clear-To-Build) materials readiness to support project time plan. Coordinate with commodity managers and suppliers to fulfil project requirement.

Demand change management - Work with supply chain and Supply Assurance and Flexibility team (SAF) on expediting of critical parts and material allocations with priority justifications.

About you

Degree in Engineering or Business.

Commodity Management skills.

Experienced in management of electronic components and PCBAs.

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent negotiation skills in monopolistic and competitive settings

Cross-functional leadership.

Ability and drive to work independently.

Excellent project management skills.

Desirable:

CIPS or equivalent qualification.

Has worked with and/or at contract manufacturers for PCBAs.

Financial analysis tools, Power-BI etc.
