Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping the global commodity manager to setting the commodity strategy, with close alignment with business unit/product line business strategies.
• Work with the global commodity manager to close the gap of supply readiness & assurance management and working closely with the engineering team for the appropriate alternates.
• Acts as escalation point for supply readiness & assurance issue resolution and escalates in a timely fashion to sponsors as necessary.
• Participation with cross-functional teams and management to identify and improve overall supply chain effectiveness by identify the problems and deploy the action plan to tackle the issue down to the components and raw materials level.
• Working with the R&D or Engineering teams for appropriate alternates by specification, and look at availability of the materials in the market.

• Bachelor of Science degree, an Engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 1 -3+ years of experience on PCA / PCB , Electronics and Electrical components within a global organization.
• Experience of dealing with component makers, electronics distributors, stockers and brokers.
• Prior experience in the multinational corporation working environment is desired.
• Ability to understand the engineering design, and reading the specs and specs comparison for alternates.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment serving both internal and external customers’ requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive and productive working relationships across a broad range of people and groups.
• Ability to make decisions against tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage priorities and stay on top of critical responsibilities.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn.
