Supporting Commercial Teams:
Provides technical training to Phileo staff and distributors, making necessary preparations.
Supports technical and sales teams in gaining new business and maintaining existing clients by effectively applying our products.
Customizes technical services for selected Swine strategic accounts, providing specific technical support, and organizing intervention from Phileo Global Swine Manager and/or R&D team members when necessary.
Orchestrates field evaluations of Swine products, including product improvements or new products.
Contributes to organizing regional specific swine events, such as symposiums or seminars, in liaison with Area managers, Global swine manager, and Marketing & communication departments.
Contributes to the preparation of articles, newsletters, and technical documents to help promote products, collaborating closely with Phileo Global Swine Manager, Swine Program manager, and Area managers.
Consults with R&D and Global Swine Manager\xe2\x80\x99s team for the writing and publishing of local academic papers.
Involvement and speaking at industry, distributor or customer meetings is necessary networking.
Providing Technical Services to Customers:
Provides technical information, support, or services to all new, existing, and potential accounts to improve customer relationships.
Corrects application problems and provides technical services to distributors, customers, and other technical representatives in person, via e-mail or telephone, ensuring customer satisfaction with proper follow-up after a service call.
Conducts, monitors, analyses, and reports field trials with current products for swine, alone or in collaboration with Global Swine manager and R&D.
Communicates technical information through sales call reports or technical service reports.
Proposes conviction trials that meet customer practice and anticipate competition, supports local team in the implementation and follow-up of these trials.
Maintains updated knowledge of processes or ingredient changes in the livestock feed and production industries.
Contributing to Product Portfolio Management:
Participates in the construction of a competitive product range and innovation programs considering market data, key opinion leaders\xe2\x80\x99 advice, technical evidence established via field trials, and scientific data collected.
Proposes, follows, and adapts innovation programs and products in close collaboration with PHILEO Global Swine Manager, R&D team, and area managers.
Contributes with R&D team and PHILEO Global Swine Manager to the prioritization process of swine R&D projects based on market and gap analysis.
Proposes trials to R&D team that answer market needs and anticipate competition, supports R&D in the implementation and follow-up of these trials.
Ensures timely and accurate completion of research, product application, and line extension projects.
Manages and develops a network of key opinion leaders to identify potential innovations that could fit with market analysis led by PHILEO Global Swine Manager.
Contributing to Market Analysis and Marketing Strategy:
Follows up on market innovations and product positioning of competing companies and identifies market needs, opportunities, and key success factors.
Proposes Swine strategy, including marketing plan, to his/her N+1, Regional Director, Area Managers, and Phileo Global Swine Manager.
Contributes to the implementation of the swine strategy with commercial teams.
Contributing to Strategic Accounts Management:
May have to manage the most strategic swine accounts in the region, such as CP group, through regular contact and networking.
As such, he/she is the guardian of the Strategic Account relationship, external and internal, optimizing a maximum of exchanges on all levels and stakeholders in a coordinated manner.
Educational Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess an M.Sc. or agricultural engineering degree, specialized veterinarian degree, or PhD with a solid working knowledge of swine nutrition, production methods, and/or disease issues. He/she should be able to apply this knowledge to make proper analyses, decisions, and objective recommendations on the use of our products in the field, explain and demonstrate products, provide objective recommendations to correct problems while maintaining awareness of customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs, concerns, and quality expectations, and identify opportunities to develop new technical and marketing solutions for regional and local Phileo teams and customers.
Required Skills and Specifications:
Previous experience in a technical service role introducing new products and concepts to targeted customers and/or markets in conjunction with sales and marketing.
Demonstrated success in working with a sales team and obtaining product sales through effective use of technical services.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Excellent people skills with the ability and willingness to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Self-motivated to accomplish business and personal objectives.
Good analytical skills in applied research and commercial testing, with experience in conducting university and field research studies.
Ability to recognize sales opportunities and determine appropriate action in conjunction with Key Account Managers and area sales managers.
Experience in marketing concepts and applications, and the implementation of technical service market plans.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams to achieve customer and product objectives, including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing.
Well organized and an effective planner in the use of resources, while demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness as market needs dictate.
Computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications.
The T&MSm should possess the ability to influence through indirect leadership, be a strong and diplomatic communicator, adaptable, open-minded, and creative. He/She should also possess a commercial and marketing mindset and a thorough understanding of probability and statistics. Expertise in feed formulation and the ability to use feed formulation software for various animal species is a distinctive asset. The ability to use or statistical programs is a plus. Proficiency in English is essential, French a plus.
