Job Description
Job Responsibilities You will report to the Head of Department (Student Development) and your duties will include:-
Teaching and Learning
- Planning effective and creative Physical Education (PE) lessons and Scheme of Work according to the syllabus
- Conducting age-appropriate learning activities during PE lessons
- Create a nurturing and positive environment for learning; ensuring safety and welfare of all students
- Assessing and recording student progress according to department and school policies
- Organising relevant events, competitions, activities when needed
- Providing pastoral care and manage student discipline; performing all aspects of Care Teacher duties if assigned
- Completing all administrative duties related to teaching Physical Education (PE); and Care Teacher responsibilities if assigned
- Maintaining good communication with students, parents and colleagues
- Attending Parent-Teacher-Meetings, average 3 times a year
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess minimum a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree from a university
- A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with specialisation in teaching Physical Education at Primary & Secondary School Levels / Junior College Level is a plus
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in Physical Education (PE) in a school setting
- Energetic and well-organised
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
