Since 2013, Joy Music Studio is an established music school in the East of Singapore. Offering a variety of instrument choices and professionally equipped studios, we are known for our enthusiastic teachers and customized approach for learners. We are looking for warm and caring PIANO Teachers to conduct 1-1 and small group classes at our East (Parkway Centre) location.

• Full-time (42 hours/week) OR Part-time (from 30 hours/week)

• Conduct individual piano classes and small group music explorer classes.
• Create student learning plans and customize lessons to meet student goals
• Prepare students for music exams, competitions, or performances
• Proactively communicate with parents regarding student goals and progress
• Motivate students and encourage progress in the student\xe2\x80\x99s learning journey

• Help lead the growth, development, and curriculum of our piano program
• Assist in training and development of new teachers

• Work collaboratively to plan and execute school activities (such as camps, workshops, or concerts) and create a fun and positive learning environment for students
• Attend staff meetings and teacher training sessions
• Provide piano accompaniment support for other teachers or music students when needed

• Assist in marketing activities related to promoting the school when requested
• Bring forward ideas to grow the piano student base

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, or Diploma in Music, with a major in Piano
• Minimum Grade 8 Certification in music theory
• At least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience teaching music
• Experience teaching and preparing students for exams at higher levels (Grade 8)
• You smile easily with confident communication skills
• A fun, creative approach to teaching music

• Experience building and developing a school piano program is a PLUS
• Ability to teach contemporary/pop piano a PLUS
• Grade 8 certification in violin or another instrument is a PLUS
• Experience teaching Music Explorer or Piano group music classes is a PLUS
• Previous MOE music teacher registration is a PLUS
