Planning & Contracts Assistant Manager

Job Description

The candidate reports to the Planning & Contracts Head of Department and will assist in the areas of quantity surveying, contract administration and project management for term contracts, cyclical and upgrading works within estates.
He/ She shall be tasked to carry out the following duties:
Prepare, call for and evaluate tenders for term contracts, estate improvement, cyclical projects, upgrading works, etc. and provide recommendations to tender committee
Liaise with contractor, consultants & government agencies on projects matters
Liaise with other departments on agreements & compliance matters
Value works in progress and prepare variations and progress payments
Verify and certify claims submitted by Contractors and prepare final accounts
Verify variation order claims submitted by Contractors
Furnish cost estimates and sourcing for quotations when required
Interpret drawings and specifications to perform tender evaluation
Evaluate and implement contract administration procedures and policies
Render support to the bidding team to ensure completeness and timely submission of tender bids
Requirements:
Degree/ Diploma in Building/Construction, Property/Real Estate or related courses
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
Have a positive working attitude, proactive and meticulous
Able to work alone in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to lead a team of Executives
Diploma/ Advance Diploma
Minimum of 3 year(s) experience needed for this position
