Roles & Responsibilities
The Planning Engineer is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
Provides cost estimations for temporary works and preliminaries.
Prepares computer generated schedule programming (Primavera, MS Project, or others) to monitor the progress and substantiate time and cost entitlements.
Prepares pre-tender, tender and contract programmes.
Reviews tender and contract conditions so as to highlight onerous provisions, conflicts and discrepancies and to propose recommendations to mitigate risks.
Monitors the progress of the construction programme and determines the delay events and their impacts.
Prepares progress reports and progress audits.
Prepares commissioning programmes.
Prepares recovery programmes.
Prepares baseline schedule which includes resource loading and progress.
Keeps updated on the construction industry practices and standards and recommends ways to improve the planning and scheduling systems.
Provides advice on post-contract claims, reviews, disputes, and litigation on programming.
Requirements:
A bachelor\'s degree in any Engineering discipline.
Hands-on experience with Primavera and/or MS Project software is a requirement.
2. Senior Planning Engineer
Salary: $4000 - $6000
Location: Commonwealth
Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm + OT
Requirements
Must possess experience working with LTA as programmer.
Experienced Planning Engineer (P6) with LTA project experienced in ACMV systems.
Experienced Mechanical Engineer with LTA Project experienced in ACMV systems.
Possess good technical knowledge, coordination with client & subcons, good technical knowledge in drawings, BIM knowledge.
Experienced Electrical Engineer with LTA Project experienced in M&E systems.
Job scope:
PLAN
Initiate, monitors, tracks project progress.
Understanding Project specifications and developing time schedules that meet them.
DO
Attending and scheduling meetings as required.
Prepares pre-tender, tender and contract programmes (as assigned).
Prepares baseline schedule which include resource loading and progress, recommends ways to improve and scheduling systems.
CHECK
Ensure effective commissioning programs and recovery programs.
Ensures updated on the construction industry practices and standards. recommends ways to improve the planning and scheduling systems
ACT
Deliver and maintain consistent realistic plans and control structures for the projects.
Recommends ways to improve the planning and scheduling systems.
Develop the activities, logic, resources, and progress for the assigned project sub elements, leading to the creation of the baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance. Provides advise on post contract claims, reviews, disputes, and litigation on programming.
