About the job:
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Platform Consultant to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will work to gain understanding of customers' infrastructures, applications, DevOps, and business needs and make recommendations matching individual customer needs. You'll need to have solid technical and communications skills, including familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), virtualization, cloud technologies, middleware, application development, and DevOps and a record of successfully applying these technologies to solve business problems. What you will do:

• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, explaining technical, development, or strategic IT requirements
• Conduct a design workshop to gather, recommend, advise on, and finalize customer requirements to be the appropriate design architect for each customer
• Identify customer problems and requirements and choose appropriate architectural solutions; design, specify, implement, and deliver the solutions to our customers
• Facilitate customer enablement and deployment of open source solutions
• Work on diverse problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of many different factors
• Apply your experience and understanding of industry practices and Red Hat's policies and procedures
• Show good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to get the right solutions
• Manage and engage with senior-level stakeholders up to the C-level
• Get involved early in the sales cycle to explore, review, and shape deal opportunities
• Support the sales and presales in defining the scope of services and solutions finding discussions; develop statement of work (SoW) documentation

What you will bring:

• Experience with and expertise in implementation of Red Hat's cloud solutions like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and other Red Hat's offerings like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Application Services, or equivalent
• Experience with designing architecture for Red Hat's software solutions or equivalent, e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), virtualization and cloud technologies like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or equivalent
• Experience conducting design workshops for enterprise customers and partners
• Experience with system customization and development, including system performance tuning, building customized distributions, and working with enterprise hardware like SAN-based storage and enterprise customers, e.g., the banking industry, telco, insurance, manufacturing, and others
• Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders and diverse business and technical audiences
• Ability to define and promote a technology roadmap and journey with our customers
• Good communication and presentation skills; good written and verbal skills in English
• Good statement of work (SOW) development and technical discussion skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), DevOps, and application development is a plus
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) qualification or equivalent combination of skills and experience is a plus
