Platform Development Manager - Technology and Program Management (PDM)Description -This role will be based in Personal Systems Singapore Development Center, reporting into the Senior R&D Manager. As part of the HP Personal System Global R&D team, this center will focus on Personal Systems solutions and products development, NPI and Sustaining.Responsibilities:Manage and lead a program involving multiple Engineering functions across Hardware, Electrical, partnering with SW and FW project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for Personal Systems product or solutions offering.Manage Technologies via driving of innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the engineering organization and into manufacturing.Develop and direct development of HW, ME and related schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.Manage activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensure progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborate with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.Lead projects that affect the organization\'s long-term goals and objectives.Leverage recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of Technology innovation and excellence.Lead the ongoing development and enhancement of existing products.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address product issues and implement improvements.Manage product sustaining activities, including updates, revisions, and end-of-life planning.Drive cost optimization and efficiency initiatives for sustaining products.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on product status and initiatives.We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for talents with:Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product & Solutions development, engineering development and integration, people management, or a related field or demonstrated competence.
