What does it take to become a Civican?
An exciting role within Healthcare for an experienced PMO Analyst who has a true delivery mindset coupled with a passion for all things PMO, technology and project management.
A day in the life...
The PMO Analyst is required to have proven experience of working in a PMO including demonstrated regular detailed reporting, analysis of data, operationalisation of process and continuous improvement. This will be coupled with exceptional communication and collaboration skills to manage complex stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally to provide PMO services.
You will have strong personal organizational skills, ability to work independently and be a self-motivated, detail-oriented, dedicated, and well-organised project professional that is able to work and make decisions in a high-performing environment.
Governance

  • Demonstrable track record of implementing and maturing project management and PMO governance capability across an organisation.
Assurance
  • Experience in the provision of PMO assurance activities, ability to conduct and facilitate stage-gate reviews, coordinate project health checks and audits as required, providing recommendations and leading ongoing improvements tasks
Risk & Issue Management
  • Demonstrable experience in proactively supporting RAID activities, review and oversight of mitigation strategies, escalations and creation of RAID reporting.
Change Management
  • Support RFC process to maintain compliance, by ensuring that all change management requests are managed correctly and within expected timeframes.
Reporting
  • Experience in managing information collection to produce accurate, informative reports, and presentations suitable for executive-level audience (Status Reporting, Program Review Board, SLT, Monthly Governance reporting, etc.)
Continuous Improvement
  • Provide advice and guidance to the project team members on PMO disciplines
  • Implement and improve Project Management methodologies and frameworks and transferring best practice knowledge to the team.
  • Actively participate in forums and special interest groups etc. as required.
Ad-Hoc
  • Any other PMO activities that are deemed appropriate and relevant

You possess the following qualities:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as PMO Analyst. Strong demonstrable understanding of PMO and associated functions.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maturing project management and PMO capability across an organization.
  • Thorough understanding of project management frameworks, Waterfall and Agile Methodologies, SDLC, and Project Governance in an IT environment.
  • Formal Project Management Methodology certification such as PRINCE2, PMBoK, PMO Certification or demonstrated equivalence through professional experience.
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong experience in using PM / PMO tools (Excel SharePoint, MS Project / Office, Visio, Excel, JIRA, Agile boards)
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills to instil a strong vision for the PMO with the ability to influence and mentor others
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or Business or demonstrated equivalence through professional experience
  • Experience with Reporting (PowerBI) highly valued
  • Specific experience of working in PMO's in Government setting preferred
  • Exposure to Contract Management preferred
