Role and Responsibilities:

The PMO Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the project management processes and functions within the organization. With a focus on strategic leadership and managerial responsibilities, this role entails directing and guiding the PMO team to ensure successful project execution and alignment with organizational goals.

Strategic Leadership:

o Define and execute the PMO\'s strategic vision, objectives, and roadmap, aligning with the organization\'s overall business strategy.

o Collaborate with senior leadership to establish project portfolio priorities, resource allocation, and long-term strategic initiatives.

Project Portfolio Management:

o Lead the management and oversight of the project portfolio, ensuring projects are selected, initiated, and executed in line with strategic priorities.

o Evaluate project proposals, business cases, and resource requirements to facilitate informed decision-making at the executive level.

Performance Management:

o Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project and portfolio performance. Generate comprehensive reports for executive stakeholders, highlighting achievements, deviations, and recommended actions.

Risk and Issue Management:

o Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy, ensuring potential risks and issues are identified, assessed, and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.

o Collaborate with project teams to design and execute effective contingency plans, minimizing project disruptions and ensuring overall project success.

Stakeholder Engagement:

o Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams.

o Provide transparent communication channels, ensuring regular updates, addressing concerns, and promoting collaboration for optimal project outcomes.

Process Improvement:

o Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, utilizing data analysis to identify process bottlenecks and areas for enhancement.

o Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize project management processes and increase efficiency across the organization.

Team Development:

o Manage, mentor, and develop the PMO team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.

o Provide guidance on project management best practices, professional growth opportunities, and skills development to ensure high standards of excellence.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive PMO or project management experience.

Proven experience in managing complex projects and project portfolios, preferably within the healthcare industry or similar information exchange environments.

Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate organizational objectives into actionable plans.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in initiating, managing, and reporting on program activities, identifying performance issues, and recommending effective solutions.

Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to align project activities with broader organizational goals.

Exceptional listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear and effective communication at all levels.

Previous experience in leading teams, fostering a collaborative culture, and promoting continuous learning and growth.
