Role Responsibilities

Policy Alignment
  • Work closely with stakeholders internally within CLDM and externally across the network to drive a common understanding of KYC policies and standards.
  • Liaise between CFCC and Business / Operations to provide input into KYC policy and standards drafting.
  • Drive the standards implementations by forming a working group, engaging with key stakeholders from Business, Regional CDD Risk Managers, IMO heads, CET Leads and CFCC teams and performing a detailed business impact assessment of the change identified.
  • Perform operational risk assessment and develop controls to support implementations.
  • Develop KYC operational guidance for issuance to the network.
Business
  • Work with business to understand the existing process or develop the new process, propose changes and enhancements to the existing process.
  • Work with CFCC and business teams to develop training plans and materials across the value chain and prepare the network to implement and support updates to the CDD standards.
  • Collaborate with IMO and CDD Execution Teams to provide the required support in assessing training needs, design and delivery of technical training.
  • Record training modules for publication to the network.
Processes Owner Support
To support the Global Process Owner / delegates in executing accountability over Policy Implementation through
  • Be responsible to the Global Process Owner / delegates.
  • Support Process Owner responsibilities at each stage of the RCSA, from new process and risk identification through to monitoring implemented controls, on a minimum of an annual basis or when a trigger event occurs (e.g. a change in control effectiveness).
  • Support ensuring all agreed elevated residual risk actions and treatment plans are completed timely and smoothly by all action owners, and logged into the Group OR management system.
  • Understand Agile delivery impact on the process: Identify risks and dependencies, assess impact on critical processes and residual risk.
  • Discuss, review and approve Change Risk Assessments (where required) and any process impact assessment ahead of change initiatives go-lives, including for "minor" change initiatives.
  • Contribute to the prioritisation process for process activities within the demand management process.
Processes
  • Work closely with relevant committees, Operational Risk Heads and CDD Regional Risk Managers to continuously enhance the quality of the guidance issued to the network based on feedback and thematic issues identified through the Quality Control processes.
  • Work closely with the Systems team to identify areas of system impact from the changes and potential automation.
People and Talent
  • Point of contact for resolution of regulatory activities.
  • Manage delivery of implementations and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Manage initiatives to improve processes and resolve high profile issues.
Risk Management
  • Timely and effective delivery of reports on regulatory responses and audit management.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Legal and operational support teams to ensure deliverables are aligned with the latest requirements and regulations, and any exceptions are appropriately escalated, reported and managed.
  • Highlight risks to management and actively monitor them to reduce the likelihood of occurrence. Ongoing control monitoring of the minimum control requirements set out in the policy and procedures to ensure that if a key control activity stops working, or operates outside its normal operating conditions, it will be quickly detected in the ordinary course of line management.
  • Execute on all the governance requirements for implementations going live.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead Banking Platform to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in multiple phases of the programme and change management, preferably with exposure to business project delivery roles.
  • Able to take ownership of issues / tasks and apply Project Management best practices.
  • Ability to create effective work relationships across business and borders.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior management, regulators and auditors, where required.
  • Focused, organised, results-oriented and works independently to strict timeframes.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Excellent presentation and excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SC standard processes, project management, implementation and post implementation processes an advantage.
