Join our global team for a career filled with opportunities to solve challenges both small and large, local and global, simple and complex.Wilhelmsen Ship Services is looking for a Port Service Engineer.The port service engineer will sell and promote Wilhelmsen Ships Service Network, products, services and concepts in a professional way in ports and terminals and to satisfy the immediate needs of our customers in the port, always making the customers aware of ongoing campaigns and providing technical support, chemical tests and product demonstrations, as required or identified as necessary.Who you will report to:The Port Service Engineer reports to the Port Service Manager \xe2\x80\x93works closely together with the rest of the team to promote Wilhelmsen Ships Service.What you will be doing:PSE Main responsibilitiesContinuously promote WSS products and services to current and potential customers by use of campaign or other material and toolsInitiate and maintain continuous contact with Ports, Terminals, Dry Docks Repair Yards and Ship\xe2\x80\x99s Agents to identify opportunities and obtain information concerning Charterers, vessel arrival times, names of the Captain, Superintendents and other senior members of the crew, to communicate with them before or on arrival and provide them first class service to ensure that any order or enquiries will be given to WSS and not to an alternative local supplierVisit vessels upon request for specific services, assist vessel\xe2\x80\x99s crew for port deliveries where applicableVisit vessels according to the prioritised customer category and highest global business value and sales potentialReport back the vessel visit outcome in the system and create relevant leadsTo possess the required and defined technical competencies that is agreed with the Area Technical Sales Manager, and thus able to promote all Solutions and carry out defined services and inspections/installationsComplete and issue relevant documentation after every visit/service on boardEnsure that the customers experience the port service interaction as professional, valuable and pleasantObtain customer feedback concerning any matters affecting customer satisfaction and report backin Salesforce, included reporting of any customer complain if necessaryReport back to Area Technical Sales Manager(Sales)on competitor activities in the PortSupport customer and sales force when vessels will be sold / bought (cylinder count, new orders, additional product/services needed)What you need to be successful in this role:Tertiary / Degree in a technical/engineering field (mechanical, engineering, maritime)Approximately 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in technical/ engineering / maritime fieldHigh intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learnCapability to drive an independent workstreamWhat we are looking for:Ability to act on initiative in a proactive mannerGood interpersonal, influencing and networking skills with awareness of global cultural differencesResults and process driven, with a high level of responsibilityCo-operating attitude being a team player that adapts to the team and builds team spirit, listens, consults and communicates proactively and upholds ethics and valuesWhat we offer:Working in Wilhelmsen can offer a culture and work environment of strong leadership, career development, work-life balance and a job that is both challenging and stimulating.
