About the role

In this role, you will be tasked with the responsibility to help protect and enhance OANDA\'s reputation in Asia Pacific, liaising with the global Marketing Team and the local commercial team in Singapore. You will execute the PR and Social strategy and contribute with localized advice to ensure the strategy is informed by local knowledge of the market and consumers.

What will be your scope of duties?

PR:

- Helping manage the relationship with our PR and Social Media agencies for APAC.
- Coordinating a calendar of PR activities for Singapore (60%), Malaysia (creating PR strategy from scratch) & Australia (40%).
- Preparing copy and messaging for media pitches, interviews, op-eds and advertorials and liaising with internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the Head of PR & Social on corporate communications and press releases (launches, announcements etc.).

Social Media:
- Leading the local social media strategy, across content and channels, for Singapore and Malaysia, to outline and implement a rolling content calendar for the channels.
- Executing social channel management: ideating individual posts according to calendar, briefing the development of graphics or animations into the creative team, writing wrapper copy for posts, coordinating stakeholder approvals and finally scheduling and publishing on platforms.
- Monitoring channels for engagement and report back on issues and results.

What are we looking for?

- Min. 2 years of experience in similar position.
- An understanding of financial markets will be a plus or willingness to learn about the industry and OANDA\'s products.
- Excellent English written and proofreading skills.
- A keen user of social media, with a pulse on trends and a sense for what a good brand looks like on channels.
- Ability to manage the projects and work autonomously.
- Experience with Hootsuite is a plus.
- Singaporeans and Singapore PRs are preferred.
