About the role We are looking for a Principal Advisor, Simandou Commercial to support port partnership development, structuring of agreements and seaborne & portside customers segmentation/sizing together with sales teams. Reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial Simandou, you will:
Lead portside partnership work with key internal and external stakeholders. Provide support around the structuring and risk management of partnership agreements.
Support the creation and execution of Simandou product and marketing strategies.
Ensure that key commercial initiatives tie back to the risks and opportunities flagged by the project team.
Support the structuring of the marketing agreement and the interlinkages with other agreements (i.e., JV etc.)
Demonstrate to our customers and partners how RT commercial can value add through our global sales channelization network and freight portfolio with the support of our sales and marine team.
Collaborate across RT commercial, strategy and economics to influence outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement across the relevant systems and process to capture and transfer knowledge.
Up to 25-30% of travel.

About you To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
University Degree qualifications.
Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of high grade (DSO/pellet feed/pellet) iron ore market.
Ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems under tight deadlines.
Initiate and take lead on ideas generating extra value for the business.
Competence in drafting and interpreting agreements (strong understanding of commercial and legal terms).
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Sound experience in seaborne & portside supply chain and scheduling.
