Overview

This is a job for an UPLC-MSMS technical expert in clinical analysis and translational medicine. Waters Clinical Business Unit is looking for someone who is genuinely excited by customer success and is ready to work at our customer sites in hospitals and clinical labs to ensure that our customers can provide reliable clinical diagnostics to their patients. We want you to be the person that these lab analysts are happy to see each time you visit.

This role is based in Singapore but requires upto 50% overseas travel to assist the region.

The ideal candidate would have both and applications background in Tandem quads and Tofs.

Responsibilities

The main responsibility of this role is ensuring the success of our clinical laboratory customers in India and the rest of the APAC region by providing LC-MS applications and hardware service support. Typical work falls into these categories

• Method implementation
• Method development
• User training
• Corrective actions
• System preventative maintenance

The ideal candidate will already be familiar with many of the analytical methods in use in these labs currently and be able to work completely independently. As a principal level position we would expect the candidate to have a firm grasp of their local market situation and a strategic plan for how best to use their technical skill set to further Waters market share, in addition to a high level of technical competency.

Qualifications

Education:

• Masters Degree, or PhD in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry

Experience:

• 10+ years user experience with UPLC, Mass Spec and analytical instruments

Skills:

• Action oriented and eager to achieve results
• Sound communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
• Strong interactive skills and a good listener
• Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of dedication
• Adaptive to a dynamic and ever-changing environment
• Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS
