And you\'ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.The Data Center Supply Solutions team is responsible for securing AWS\' data center capacity, including colocation, build-to-suit (BTS), and real estate, and we are looking for a talented Principal Colocation in APAC. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and execute on strategies to expand our Data Center portfolio and related infrastructure. You will help develop where we go, provide oversight on business contracts that deliver the infrastructure needed to provide best-in-market colocation projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience on data center colocation and have a business, financial, strategic and technical background that enables them to drive engagement and develop best-in-class colocation projects. You should have a demonstrated ability to lead and direct multi-million-dollar colocation projects and deliver Build to Suit shells for Amazon fit out. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, markets, and technical challenges with the skill to manage complex colocation projects and to build and convey compelling value to AWS.Key job responsibilities
- Formulating long-term colocation and data center strategies for specific markets and developing the high level external relationships and partnerships to execute them.
- Executing on the strategic plan while interacting with internal stakeholders (e.g. product teams, energy, fiber, design, construction, legal, tax, etc.).
- Understanding the technical requirements of our design engineering teams and developing solutions that meet the design and business objectives.
- Working with peers in America and Europe to think about and implement alternative transaction approaches and structures that can be implemented in Asia.
- Supporting in-country DCSS members on complex colocation projects, including financial analysis and contract negotiations.
- Maintaining senior level contacts APAC-wide with colocation providers and developers- Able to travel roughly 25% of the timeAbout the team

- 10+ years of experience related to data center colocation at a service provider or other hyperscaler
- Data center capacity acquisition experience and strong financial analysis acumen
- Strong experience and knowledge of colocation deal structures and best practices, related development processes, and commercial/industrial site selection.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master\'s Degree or higher (including Juris Doctor) in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Understanding of and experience in the Data Center industry, including data center siting and general operations
- Experience with successful negotiations through high-value complex deal structures and delivery of cost savings and on-time deal closures.
- Ability to understand & communicate high level electrical, power & cooling, fiber optics, and other technical requirements, particularly related to Internet infrastructure
