Job Description


You will be leading a team to provide individual and group counselling to students facing academic and personal challenges.Adecco is partnering with a global education company specializing in higher education and professional training. It offers a wide range of programs and courses to help students and professionals succeed in academic and career pursuits.The Job:

  • Establish and uphold quality care standards through a comprehensive counseling system that encompasses clinical assessment, psychosocial and academic counseling, admission evaluations, referrals, and preventive programs.
  • Develop and manage a referral process for community agencies, public hospitals, and private healthcare providers.
  • Provide and supervise confidential counseling and guidance to enhance student well-being and academic success.
  • Lead interventions and consultations for students in critical distress, ensuring appropriate and effective support.
  • Conduct and oversee family interventions as necessary, particularly for students under 18 years of age.
  • Advise and support staff and Heads of Departments on student mental health and behavioral issues, facilitating frontline interventions.
  • Lead a team in planning, designing, and conducting talks, workshops, and awareness campaigns on mental health issues.
  • Develop and maintain online mental health resources for both students and lecturers, promoting self-help and awareness.
  • Create and sustain disability and diversity support guidelines for pre-admission assessments, ensuring inclusivity.
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments and provide recommendations to the school management on special adjustments or academic accommodations as needed, such as alternative exams or extended time.
  • Collaborate with university partners on matters related to access, inclusion, academic integrity, and plagiarism, ensuring equal participation and upholding standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior counselors, providing case discussions, guidance, and coaching.
  • Oversee documentation and reporting, ensuring effective tracking of trends, service evaluation, and management reporting.
The Talent:
  • Bachelor\'s, Postgraduate Diploma, or Master\'s degree in Counselling or Social Work, accredited by SAC or SASW.
  • Registered with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) as a counselor or with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) as a social worker.
  • Minimum 5 years of counseling experiene.
  • Experienced in crisis intervention.
  • Proficient in applying evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques.
  • Skilled in delivering talks and facilitating workshops is a bonus
