About the role

• Responsible for Refinery/ Chemicals facility Mechanical design of greenfield/ revamped/retrofit from conceptual stage to detail engineering phase of Medium and large projects.
• Lead a team of Mechanical Engineers & designers from Home office and Support office

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensure all documentation withing the scope of their responsibility is prepared, checked, reviewed and approved in accordance with the Worley Management system for that project.
• Ensure all vendors bids and documentation are reviewed for technical acceptance.
• Provide necessary technical assistance to other design groups assigned to his project
• Communicate and interface with client stakeholders, other discipline leads/SMEs and HVEC office
• Provide support to inspection activities for critical equipment or as necessary
• Actively look for value plus items that could be recorded and encourage other team members to do the same
• Advise the Department Manager of required personnel necessary to maintain the project activities/planning schedule for the assigned project
• Carry out such tasks from time to time as directed by their senior, commensurate with the work expected of this position
• To identify and suggest corrective action for any non-conformities to the quality assurance for both system and contract

About You

• Minimum of 15 years hands on experience preferably as a Lead for Basic and Detail Engineering jobs for Chemical/Petrochemical /Refinery/LNG Industries for all types of Static Equipment such as Columns, Pressure vessels, all types of Heat Exchangers, Fired Heaters, API storage Tanks etc.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Core experience related to Refinery, Petro-chemical, Chemical and LNG Static Equipment and Familiar with the Client guidelines/Standards of major petrochemical/refinery companies.
• Excellent knowledge and hands on experience with international Codes & Standards like ASME, TEMA, API, AD2000, PD5500 etc. including excellent Code interpretation skill.
• Hands on experience with software like (or their equivalent) PV Elite, Nozzle Pro, AMETank etc.
• Shall be hands-on with Mechanical Engineering software, ability to work with Data centric Engineering data bases like AVEVA Engg., quest to continuously improve IT skills. Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Off-shore packages, working experience with exotic materials, manage multi office execution, site support experience etc.
